These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and supply of replacement non-OEM VIN decals, plates, and associated products (“Products”) by VINShield (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the buyer (“you”, “your”).

By placing an order on our website, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.

By ordering from us, you explicitly confirm and warrant that:

  You are the legal owner of the vehicle associated with the order, or you are acting with the full, documented authorisation of the legal owner.
  
• 
  The Products will be used only for lawful replacement purposes, and not for deception, concealment of vehicle identity, fraud, cloning, theft, or any other illegal or misleading purpose.
  
• 
  You understand that these Products are not genuine manufacturer-issued items and are non-OEM replacements intended for legal, cosmetic, or restoration use only.
  
• 
  You take full responsibility for ensuring that your use of these Products complies with all UK laws, including but not limited to:

If requested, you agree to provide documentation to support your legal ownership or authorisation, such as a V5C logbook, proof of ID, or written consent from the registered keeper.

You must not use our Products:

• 
  To alter or falsify the identity of a vehicle
  
• 
  To mislead buyers, insurers, police, or government agencies
  
• 
  As part of any criminal or fraudulent activity
  
• 
  To clone a vehicle or obscure its legal history
  
• 
  To breach any legal obligations regarding the display or replacement of VIN or vehicle ID information
  

If we suspect unlawful intent or receive a legal notice regarding any order, we reserve the right to:

• 
  Cancel or withhold your order
  
• 
  Report your activity to law enforcement
  
• 
  Retain evidence and order details as required by law
  
• 
  You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless VINShield, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates against any and all:
  
  
  Claims
  
  
  Liabilities
  
  
  Losses
  
  
  Costs
  
  
  Fines
  
  
  Legal fees
  
  
  Government investigations
  
  
  arising out of or connected to:
  
  
  Your breach of these Terms
  
  
  Misuse of our Products
  
  
  Any criminal or civil action taken as a result of your order
  
  
  Any false or misleading information you provide us
  
  
   
  This indemnity survives the completion or cancellation of any order.

  Limitation of Liability
  To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
   
  
  
  VINShield’s total liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, is limited to the price paid for the Products.
  
  
  We are not liable for:
  
  
  Any indirect or consequential loss
  
  
  Criminal proceedings, penalties, or damages resulting from your use of the Products
  
  
  Any failure to use the Products legally or appropriately
  
  
  erification & Order Refusal
  We reserve the right to:
  
  
  Request additional verification of ownership before fulfilling any order
  
  
  Cancel or delay any order if misuse or fraud is suspected
  
  
  Refuse to supply Products if we believe doing so would breach the law or put us at risk
  
  
   
  We may report suspicious or unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.
  
  
  Data Collection & Evidence Retention
  By placing an order, you consent to our collection and storage of relevant personal and order data, including:
  
  
  Name, address, and contact details
  
  
  Vehicle information
  
  
  IP address and device metadata
  
  
  Any uploaded documents (e.g. logbook, photo ID)
  
  
  Order time and payment details
  
  
  This data may be retained for up to 7 years to assist in:
  
  
  Fraud prevention
  
  
  Criminal investigations
  
  
  Law enforcement requests
  
  
  Legal compliance
  
  
  Defence against claims or liability
  
  
   
  We process and store data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
  
  
   Refunds, Returns & Cancellations
  Due to the custom and potentially sensitive nature of the Products:
   
  
  
  Refunds are only available if we fail to deliver as described or the product is defective
  
  
  No refund will be issued if the item has been used or installed
  
  
  We do not refund Products if we reasonably suspect misuse or illegal intent
  
  
  You must notify us within 7 days of receiving a defective Product
  
  
  Governing Law and Jurisdiction
   
  These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  Any disputes arising from or related to your purchase shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  
  
  Agreement Version & Updates
   
  These Terms may be updated from time to time.
  The version in force at the time of your order applies to that transaction.
